Something about Blue Skies

Date February 10, 2009

There’s just something about blue skies that resonate in our being when we see them. I’m sure it’s not just me.  Against this green field of rice a couple of months before harvest season, the blue skies & thin clouds become especially spectacular.

We’ve forgotten how much we are a part of nature and the natural order of things, that when completely devoid of interaction with it, we become dysfunctional.  Children who have grown up only in cities and seen only concrete walls, steel bars, mass transit, and chaotic construction, have every reason to retreat into their own space and world, searching …

Show them a blue sky if you get a chance.  I know I have and will continue to do because I have seen the difference even a single day will make.

Thanks for the post. Reminds me of my time spent in northern Thailand a couple of years back. Loved the blue skies that accompanied me during my daily morning jog.

Have a huge favor to ask of you. Could you email me a copy of that photo (in higher resolution)? Am thinking of using that as my desktop.

    Thanks, C K.
