My Dog over the Years

Date August 11, 2009

This is her when we first got her, the very first day we brought her home. She came in a cardboard box as puppies tend to come in. There was no pram, no blanket, no sanitized bottle, just a plain, worn, brown box that she snuggled in quietly as she let the cars’ gentle rocking motion lull her to sleep.patch1stday
When she awoken, it was only for a little while. It was as if she only had enough energy to play for 5 minutes and then she had to take a quick nap to recharge. Unfortunately, we only took one picture, from a not-so-good phone camera. Ahhh … those were the days.

Here she is 2 months later, doing her puppy dog pose. It may look like a candid moment but this actually took several takes and lots of treats. And looking at her picture now, so worth the trouble.

And then at seven months, running her heart out at the dog run, circling every dog and cajoling each one to chase her. It was a gargantuan effort, no one really wanted to play. So she took off and rolled herself in the mud.
